My personal blog

Reworked.

Everybody kept saying that my logo looked like a Macromedia product so I thought I'd have my hand at reworking the logo and make it a little more bulletproof. I've tried to keep the familiar S but work within a framework that gave me more flexibility and seemed to speak to the kind of stuff that I do. I also integrated more green into the logo to really emphasize the brand. I'm confident that I've got that unique look moving forward.

Time to pull the cork out of the champagne bottle and celebrate...

Update: Of course, this was all an april fools joke. As expected, Dan got a kick out of it.

The decision to broaden the probe into the privacy implications of rapidly evolving search technologies means Google will have to wait longer to find out whether it will face any sanctions from European regulators.

Device that Gauges Brain Trauma

Device that Gauges Brain Trauma

The Department of Defense is currently pouring plenty of dough into a portable handheld device which is smart enough to identify signs of brain damage in a person shortly after a roadside bomb or other injuries which cause trauma to the head within seconds. So far $4.6 million has been poured over four years for such a device, and the final product must be rugged enough to survive extreme battlefield conditions such as Iraq. It isn't ready just yet, but we do know it features a small high-resolution camera and software that measures just how well a person tracks a red dot which moves in a small circle. Simple tests like that as well as remembering a few words show just how much damage was inflicted. I wonder if the device can check out brain damage our kids get from watching the garbage on TV these days...

I thought the Cards would tee off on Snell, since they kept fouling off his pitches, but he survived longer and did better than I expected. The rest of the Pirates staff, (Read on Source)
